The parish is located in south-west Oxfordshire, about mid-way between Oxford and Swindon, in central southern England. The River Thames runs along the northern edge of the parish. We are at the far north-west corner of the Portsmouth Diocese, in the Abingdon deanary.

Parish boundaries

This map shows the formal geographic extent of the parish. However we prefer to think of the parish as a community - a people rather than a place.

Location of our church

Our church is Blessed Hugh, located in Marlborough Street, Faringdon, as shown in the above map. The map also shows the church of St. George in the village of Buckland, but regular Masses here ceased in June 2005 and the building was sold in October 2005.

The plan of Faringdon below shows the location of our church, as well as the other Christian churches in the town.

This is an interactive map - use your mouse to find the name of each church (in red).
